21st CENTURY VISION

Leonard believes that in the 21^st Century the people of the Seminole Nation can regain significant control over our political, economic and cultural destiny. Regaining control over these aspects of our lives will enable us to create a Seminole Nation with:

PEOPLE that

Are economically self-reliant
Live in thriving families and communities
Speak the Seminole and English languages with equal ease
Actively practice Seminole customs and traditions
Are spiritually strong
Are physically healthy

An ECONOMY that

Continually provides us with a wide range of income and employment opportunities
Allows us to achieve our desired standard of living without having to move away

A GOVERNMENT that

Puts Seminole People first
Protects and exercises our sovereign powers to the maximum possible extent
Works for the best interest and general good of the Seminole Nation
Provides accountability at every level

A SOCIETY that

Is based on our cultural heritage and traditions
Promotes strong families and communities
Provides us with the opportunity:

to obtain adequate housing
to access high quality health care
etc.

ACHIEVING THE VISION

To begin achieving this Vision, Leonard's Administration will immediately begin to work at:

Increasing and diversifying Tribal income
Creating employment opportunities for Tribal members
Ensuring that our basic needs--health care, housing, etc.--are met
Creating activities to ensure that our language and traditions flourish now and in the future
Creating more programs and activities for our youth
